OCTRON lamps should only be used with:
Magnetic rapid start ballasts designed for 265 mA T8 lamps. - High-frequency (electronic) ballasts (instant start, rapid start, or programmed rapid start) specifically designed for T8 lamps.
- For instant start ballasts, ensure the ballast factor is between 0.71 and 1.20 at nominal input voltage.
- When using instant start ballasts, connect the two wires or contacts of each socket together, then connect to the ballast lead wire following the National Electric Code.
Lamp Life:

Life ratings are based on 3-hour operating cycles with ANSI-compliant ballasts. Longer operating cycles can increase lamp life.
SUPERSAVER® Lamps:

Recommended for use with F32T8 ballasts with a minimum open circuit voltage of 550V RMS.

Not recommended for:

Remotely ballasted fixtures with lamp open circuit voltages below 550V.

Rapid Start ballasts unless the lamp open circuit voltage exceeds 570V.

Air-handling fixtures.

Low power factor ballasts.

Inverter-operated emergency lighting systems unless specifically listed for the lamp.

Operating Conditions:

If exposed to drafts or temperatures below 60°F (70°F for 25W lamps), striation (a pulsing light pattern) or reduced brightness may occur. These issues are not harmful and will resolve once the cause (draft or low temperature) is removed.
